Physics is devoted to the study of the patterns and relationships which are fundamental to our understanding of the physical world. Topics covered include: analysis of experimental data, motion, forces, work, energy, power, electrostatics, D.C. circuits, wave motion, sound, and light. Students are expected to perform and analyze many experiments, to solve quantitative physics problems, and to demonstrate an understanding of basic physics concepts. In order to solve quantitative physics problems, students are expected to use basic algebra and geometry skills.
