This site is designed to incorporate technology into the Assisted Learning Program (ALP) at Belleville East. Students in the ALP learn life and adult living skills through lessons taught within the classroom, as well as trips to various sites within the community. So far this year, students have explored the Belleville Public Library, Southwest Bank, Eckert's Orchards, and Shop 'n' Save, just to name a few. It is believed that through contact with these establishments, students will learn how to access and utilize these services within their community, in order to assist them in leading productive lives as adults. In the classroom environment, students also learn basic skills which will assist them in becoming functioning adults, such as cooking, budgeting, and social skills.
